House of Prayer- Deep intimacy with God
Gadeok House of Prayer is a prayer house ministry of YWAM located in Busan New Port. We began in October 2018 in Gadeok island. We were established to strengthen the calling and foundation of YWAM, which is to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.
As a house of prayer to committed to YWAM, we fully agree with YWAM's value: ‘To Know God and To Make Him Known’. In this age when love grows cold and building relationships get more difficult, to make God known, our lives should be rooted in the intimacy with God through worship. We aim to encounter God through worship, restore the relationship with God through the encounter, and influence others naturally with the joy we found in the intimacy with Him.
Therefore, the one thing we seek, is intimacy with God.
“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” Psalms 27:4 NIV
What does the House of Prayer do?
We worship using a certain form called ‘Harp and Bowl’, where singing and prayer come together. During Harp and Bowl, we make intercessory prayer and declare the word of God. Or we may each have a personal time with God in ‘Devotional Worship’, whether as a worship leader or just there as a participant. At the same time, it’s important for us not only to fill 24/7 with worship, but also to enjoy being in the YWAM family, to raise next generation worshipers, and to bring restoration to the local community.
What is Half and Bowl?
This name comes from the book of Revelation 5:8 and it’s a worship model in which singing/music and prayer are offered together in its unique format. In Harp and Bowl, there are intercession and WWW(Worship With the Word). WWW is a time of prophetic declaration and prophetic prayer after meditating on the word of God.
